Choose ProSense Cryoablation System

The ProSense Cryoablation System provides a minimally invasive treatment option to destroy tumors by freezing them. The system uniquely harnesses the power of liquid nitrogen to create large lethal zones for maximum efficacy in tumor destruction in benign and cancerous lesions, including breast, kidney, lung and liver.*

ProSense enhances patient and provider value by accelerating recovery, reducing pain, surgical risks, and complications. With its easy, transportable design and liquid nitrogen utilization, ProSense opens the door to fast and convenient office-based procedures for breast tumors.

Choose Reliable Cryoablation for Diverse Settings

The moveable, liquid nitrogen based ProSense Cryoablation System enables reliable cryoablation within office-based settings or radiology departments.

As the ProSense System uniquely uses a small low-pressure liquid nitrogen dewar, there are no gas lines, no onsite technicians, or specific safety rooms required to store large and hazardous high-pressure cylinder tanks compared to argon-based cryoablation devices.

Choose Ease of Use and Efficiency

ProSense harnesses a groundbreaking liquid-nitrogen-based cryoablation system that enables physicians to save time and deliver a highly efficient procedure with proven results:

Fits a variety of settings:
  • Ease of liquid nitrogen use: Eliminates the need for specific safety rooms for large and hazardous high-pressure cylinder tanks of argon-based systems to allow for office-based or radiology rooms
  • Refillable Liquid Nitrogen dewars: No gas lines, no on-site technicians, no supply restrictions, no hazardous waste, less costly than argon-based cryoablation
Efficient:
  • Easy installation with minimal procedure set-up time
  • Single cryoprobe system is more efficient and as effective in treating the same tumor as three cryoprobes in a multiprobe system
User friendly:
  • Touch-screen system provides an intuitive user interface, with step-by step instructions and pre-set freeze-thaw-freeze programs
  • Multiple languages
  • System comes in two configurations – 90° and straight handle
  • Various cryoprobe types allow optimal adjustment to the size and location of the lesion

How Does Cryoablation Work?

Guided by CT or ultrasound, the ProSense System's cryoprobe is inserted into the tumor and liquid nitrogen generates sub-zero temperatures to turn the tumor into an ice ball. A freeze-thaw-freeze cycle destroys the targeted tissue immediately and leaves adjacent healthy tissue undamaged. The necrotic debris is eventually absorbed by the body.
